Using Technology Wisely

 

            Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, my name is Suci Junianti. In this opportunity, I want to present a speech about use technology wisely. Before that let’s we pray and give thanks to Allah Swt, which has given grace, blessing, guidance we can gather in this room.

            Ladies and gentlemen, if you listen “technology” what the first word do you think? After asked several people I got different answers like, computer, laptop, handphone, Internet, social media, games, electronic appliances, business etc.
            Ladies and gentlemen, technology is a tool created by human. It use to help human work, which is result scientific development that already exist.

            Ladies and gentlemen, in era globalization technology develop rapidly, it make various impact. One of that is, positive impact. In development technology we will get information easier. Beside that, we can do many things with technology, like connect easily and quickly to people in different place using telephone, mobile phone, video call, message or email. We can know the latest news quickly, if there is something we don’t know we can ask search engine like google, bing or yahoo.So technology is very useful and important, right? But, don’t forget and be careful, Technology have negative impact too. There are some negative impact from technology like idleness, technology can make us be lazy. Many people wasting time just to play games or social media and forget to do their duty. Beside that, technology can make people forget their real life, there are so much times spending in social media to chat in cyber world and they ignore people in real world and busy with gadget. Technology world very attractive and pleasing. But it bring threat, the criminals will be easier know the victims and plan to do crime.

            Ladies and gentlemen, so what should we do to behave negative impact from technology? We can give socialization  to children and adolescent about negative impact of technology, so that they can do classify information that they get from technology. Don’t forget to implant religion, so that they know limitation and norms it can make them not trapped in negative impact  technology. Then, give instrusion about utilization of technology as media to help study and teach prosses, and do introduction technology can support students like internet to be source knowledge beside book. Ladies and gentlemen we must use technology wisely. We must wise to choose which good and bad from technology, so that we can get benefit from technology and not fall on negative impact of technology.
